Following consultation with our worldwide alumni and employers, we have developed this Master of Business Administration (Finance) course to build and hone your broad management skills in order to help you inspire and manage change within the complex landscape of modern business, with a particular focus on the role of management accounting in supporting the development, growth and sustainability of a company.

You will consider your own role as a manager and how you lead people, as well as develop a strategic awareness of the commercial environment in which you operate. Assessments at Arden are designed to provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your strengths in a number of ways and so a variety of methods are used. A critical element of the assessment strategy is that you’ll have the chance to apply your learning directly into your day to day role.

A vital part of your work will be the opportunity to create and take ownership of a detailed piece of research relating to a management issue.

To support your development, we will provide you with academic and pastoral support on campus and online to make sure you have the skills in place to successfully complete every assessment you submit.

Your Arden tutor will be able to give you suggestions and tips for improvement and help you understand how to apply your newly-acquired skills into real life settings.

To be eligible for this MBA Finance course at Arden you must normally have:

  • A UK Honours Degree at a minimum of second class (2.2) or equivalent, plus 2 years suitable work experience

For students whose prior learning was not taught in English, you must have IELTS 6.5 or equivalent (no less than 6.0 in any element).

If you don’t have academic qualifications

We are more than happy to consider, and positively encourage, an application from you at Arden University if you have substantial suitable work experience (typically 5 years senior level experience) and can show us that you have the motivation to study the programme.

We’ll ask you for a personal statement that demonstrates your ability to study the course. We may also want references and evidence of relevant experience.
