Course Essentials

Arden's BA (Hons) Business Degree course will prepare you for a career in the corporate world, whether as an entrepreneur or as a valuable employee.

Typically studied over three years, this Undergraduate Degree course comes with a professional accreditation from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), further enriching your education and giving you the competitive edge in your industry.

Taught via Blended Learning, you will study 2 days a week in one of our study centres in London, Manchester or Birmingham and the rest of the time you can study online to suit you via Arden University's online study portal, iLearn.


CMI Accreditation

The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) accreditation gives your Degree an added mark of quality, valued by employers across the UK.

When you enrol with Arden, you’ll get FREE CMI Membership throughout your studies, which gives you access to a range of useful resources that will assist you in gaining your qualification.


Study When it Suits You - Choose Daytime or Evening sessions

Study BSc Accounting and Finance (ACCA) at our Birmingham or Holborn study centre and you can opt for evening classes when you start your Degree from February 2019 onwards.

You’ll attend sessions at your chosen study centre every Monday and Wednesday (Birmingham) or Wednesday and Thursday (Holborn) from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. You can then make up the remainder of your full-time hours online (minimum 12 per week) as and when it suits you.

To support your development and ensure that you’re on the right track with your Blended Learning studies, you’ll receive tutor feedback for every assessment you submit.

If required, your tutor may be able to give you suggestions and tips for improvement and help you understand how to apply your newly acquired skills into real-life settings.

This BA (Hons) Business Degree course at Arden University has standard entry requirements. To be eligible for this course you must have either:

  • Two subjects at GCE A-Level or equivalent, plus passes at grade C or above in three subjects at GCSE level or equivalent; OR
  • Have completed a recognised Access Programme or equivalent

Don’t meet the standard entry requirements, but have work experience?

We are happy to consider an application from you at Arden if you can show us you have the motivation to study our Blended Learning programme.

We’ll ask you for a personal statement that demonstrates your ability to study the course. We’ll also ask you for references and evidence of relevant work experience.

Don’t have any of the above?

We also offer this course as a 4 year Degree which includes a foundation year (subject to validation). This first year prepares you for university-level study and is ideal if you don’t have the formal qualifications or work experience detailed above.

Non-native English speaker?
If your prior learning was not taught in English we require IELTS 6.0 or equivalent (no less than 5.5 in any element).
 

Please note: Candidates who do not have GCSE English or Maths may also be required to undertake a numeracy or literacy assessment for entry.

If you are a UK student, the most common funding of undergraduate degrees is a Tuition Fee Loan from the UK Government. The key information about these loans is:

  • You must be a UK resident
  • You can get a loan to cover the full cost of your tuition fees
  • You only start to pay it back when you are earning over £21,000 a year.
  • Your tuition fees are paid directly to the University by the loan company.

Self-funding - Pay in full or Pay as you go options

You can pay for your course all in one go if you have the funds. There is typically up to 10% off the total price if you pay this way. You can also pay as you go. This means you have no monthly obligations and simply pay for each module when you decide to study it.

When you sign up for one of our Blended Learning Degrees and become a student at an Arden University study centre, you get the best of both worlds. All the structure and personal tuition of a full-time course, coupled with the rich online resources and materials that our online students benefit from.
