Tips before attending your April 2024 graduation ceremony in Berlin

Once again we are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to all of our students and guests attending the 2024 Arden University Berlin graduation ceremony.

Taking place on Tuesday 30th April 2024, the graduation ceremony is a time to celebrate your academic successes and achievements.

Our venue for the day, the Spreespeicher, is a fantastic location with a view of the Oberbaumbrücke at Berlin`s Eastern Harbour, and located not far from the East Side Gallery, the longest remaining part of the Berlin Wall.

The Spreespeicher is the perfect setting in which to celebrate your accomplishments and we can’t wait to see you there.

Please read the information below so that everything runs smoothly and you and your guests have an unforgettable ceremony.

If you have registered that you are attending our ceremony, you will receive e-tickets for yourself and your guests at least one week before the ceremony via email. If you don't receive your tickets by 23rd April 2024, please contact us at graduation@arden.ac.uk.

Please note that no extra guest tickets for guests will be available on the day.

The graduation ceremony will take place in Berlin, at the Spreespeicher, Stralauer Allee 2, 10245.

The nearest train station is Ostbahnhof, which is just a 10-minute walk away. This station is served by S-Bahn, U-Bahn, and regional trains, making it easily accessible from all parts of Berlin. There are also several bus and tram stops nearby, providing convenient public transportation options.

This year we will be holding two ceremonies on the day, in the morning and the afternoon. You will be informed which ceremony you should attend when you receive your tickets by email (by 23rd April at the latest).

We recommend you arrive approximately 1½ hours prior to the start time of your ceremony. This will give you time to register, collect your gown, have your photographs taken, and take your seats.

Morning attendees should therefore arrive by 10am at the latest, ready for their ceremony to begin at 11.30am.

Afternoon attendees should arrive no later than 2pm, ready for their ceremony to start at 3.30pm.

Unfortunately, once the ceremony has started, no latecomers will be admitted, so please leave yourself plenty of time to arrive at the venue.

The graduation ceremony will last approximately one hour. There will be a Welcome Address from our Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors Professor Dr Mary Bishop, our Students' Association Managing Director Sophie Harrison, and our VIP Speaker Kathryn Boyd.

After the opening addresses, the attending graduates will recieve their degrees.

The ceremony will be closed by Arden University Provost Professor Dilshad Sheikh.

After the ceremony, students are invited to join the Alumni Reception, where drinks will be available, to celebrate their success with peers, guests, and Arden University’s academics.

There will also be a merchandise stand, careers stand, and some great photo opportunities.

Yes, we will be live-streaming Arden’s Berlin graduation ceremony on the day. This link will also be sent to you by email, which you can forward to any family and friends who are not able to attend.
